Getting started

Choose a plan, sign in, and connect your AI client by URL — no install, and no license key needed.

SQUAT works inside the AI client you already use. Getting started is three moves: choose a plan, sign in, and connect your client to your workspace. Nothing to download, and no license key needed — your account sign-in is your access.

1. Choose a plan and create your account

Start at Pricing and pick the tier that fits — every plan, including the starter tier, goes through checkout. You sign in first (Google, or email and password), because your purchase is tied to your account. Payment runs in Stripe Checkout; promotion codes work there.

When payment completes, your seat is active — signing in with your account is the credential. The Purchases page shows your plan; if it says your workspace is still activating, that usually resolves in under a minute — refresh to check.

2. Connect your AI client

The fastest path installs nothing: add SQUAT to your client as a connector using the server address https://api.squat.pro/mcp (paste it whole — scheme and /mcp included). A SQUAT sign-in page opens in your browser; sign in with your account there, and you’re connected. If you’re already signed in, the page pauses to ask “Connect as …?” first — confirm, or switch to a different account — so a connector is never authorized as the wrong account silently. You never type anything secret into the AI app itself. A license key is optional. Your sign-in already covers you. Attach a key from the Seats page only when a tool must connect without your sign-in session — a CI job or an unattended agent. See Seats, keys, and devices.

3. Check the connection and get your bearings

Ask your AI: “Check my SQUAT connection.” If it reports your workspace and member list, you’re in. From there, wayfinding is built in: ask “where am I?” (or /journey) for a map of the whole process with your position marked, /menu for your options right now — and the concierge can walk you through anything multi-step.

4. Run your first round

Set up a project (the product under test), add a scenario (the tester’s task, stated as a goal in the user’s own words), recruit a tester through a short interview — then say “run a UAT round” and read the result. The manual’s Quick start walks the whole first round in about fifteen minutes.
